Project Details

In 2006 the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in a bid to stem the systemic decline in the
banking industry raised the minimum capital requirement of Nigeria’s 89 money deposit banks from N2.5bn to N25bn. This led to a slew of mergers and acquisitions in the banking industry of which Sterling Bank (itself a merger of 8 banks) was one of the 24 that successfully met the CBN capitalization requirements.

Sequel to another CBN capitalization in 2010, Sterling Bank invited us to interpret the drive and unified focus of their new brand. We responded by creating recognizable spatial elements which could be selectively applied across their facilities irrespective of location or purpose. In short, a universal and yet adaptable design blueprint.
